I've not been on best knitting form this year. Just tiredness, so making lots of mistakes. Have had to rip stuff out, and stick to pretty simple stuff. I'm relieved to report that I've finally finished something!
It's a shawlette/scarf for me. My first Ysolda Teague pattern, Damson, and I'm in love. The yarn is Noro Kureyon sock, and even though it isn't the softest, the colours are awesome and it has rustic charm.
I am a 43 year-old mother of two. At work, I am Alison Pike, and I am an academic psychologist specialising in family relationships. In my other 128 hours I am Alison Williams; I live with my (civil) partner Sian, and we co-mother our two boys, Harry age 6 and Tom age 3. This blog is a record of how academic psychology influences (or not) my family life.

I am hoping to get some vacuuming mojo... the results won't be as pretty, but I'll be happy.
Long live mojo, whoever he may be.
