I make no apologies for verbing. I stole the term from Soule Mama, and it makes me happy. I am feeling smug, this year my present knitting was finished long ago, so I was able make these:
Too bloody cute, right? Very quick and satisfying.
I'm also on Sian's second sock. This is the third year of making her a pair of Christmas socks. Check out these cabled beauties:
Absolutely charming. I'd brag too if I had completed all my gifts. I still have several Playmobil trucks to put together, a felt ride-on horse saddle to embellish (brown will just NOT DO; Maya will appreciate the efforts by "Santa") and new soles to felt onto Margie's felted slippers from 10 years ago.
We are in the bosom of my family, though, so perhaps I'll be able to find the time.
I am a 43 year-old mother of two. At work, I am Alison Pike, and I am an academic psychologist specialising in family relationships. In my other 128 hours I am Alison Williams; I live with my (civil) partner Sian, and we co-mother our two boys, Harry age 6 and Tom age 3. This blog is a record of how academic psychology influences (or not) my family life.
